This Blue Samurai Katana Sword is a masterfully crafted hand-forged Japanese sword from HanBon Forge, combining traditional samurai craftsmanship with modern precision. Forged from T10 high carbon steel, this katana is fully functional, battle-ready, and built for cutting practice, Iaido, and martial arts training.

The blade features a Shinogi-Zukuri geometry with a defined yokote, providing both durability and elegance. A single bohi (groove) is carved along the blade to reduce weight and improve the sword’s balance, making it easier to handle during fast movements. The mirror polish enhances the katana’s appearance while reflecting traditional Japanese artistry.

The tsuka (handle) measures 27cm and is wrapped in blue synthetic silk ito (Hineri-Maki style) over authentic white rayskin (samegawa), ensuring a firm, slip-resistant grip. The fittings are designed with an Oriental Dragon theme (tsuba, fuchi, kashira, menuki), crafted from durable alloy to provide both protection and aesthetic appeal.

The saya (scabbard) is hand-painted in deep blue with speckles and features a hand-engraved dragon motif, making it visually striking and symbolically powerful. The sageo (cord) matches in blue silk, completing the overall theme of harmony and strength.

This katana is constructed with a full tang design and secured by two bamboo mekugi, ensuring stability and safety during use. It includes a brass habaki and seppa (black finish) for additional reinforcement.
