This handmade Japanese tanto from HanBon Forge is forged using T10 high carbon steel, clay tempered to create a stunning choji hamon. The blade is finished with a traditional hazuya polish, enhancing the visibility of the hamon while preserving strength and sharpness. Each tanto is hand sharpened, making it fully functional for martial arts, cutting, or collection.

Tsuka (Handle) Details
The tsuka (handle) is made from hardwood and fully wrapped with red rayskin (samegawa), offering a unique and striking appearance. Both the fuchi (collar) and kashira (pommel) ends are reinforced with bull horn, ensuring durability and elegance. The construction is secured with a single bull horn mekugi, reflecting traditional Japanese methods.
Saya (Scabbard) Design
The hardwood saya (scabbard) is wrapped in red rayskin on the upper portion and finished with a black gloss lacquer on the lower section, creating a bold two-tone design. Both the koiguchi (mouth) and kojiri (end cap) are made of bull horn, adding extra strength and refinement.
