T10 Steel Bamboo Katana

This bamboo katana features a hand-forged T10 high carbon steel blade with a traditional clay-tempered hamon. The simple bamboo theme runs through the fittings, giving the sword a clean and understated Japanese-style look.

The T10 steel blade is clay tempered and differentially hardened, creating a visible hamon along the edge. The blade is made with a full tang and secured with two bamboo mekugi pins. The fittings can be removed when the sword needs to be inspected or maintained.

The iron tsuba is decorated with a bamboo design and is paired with black genuine samegawa ray skin on the handle. The handle is traditionally wrapped for a firm grip. A matching HuaLee wood saya completes the sword and features buffalo horn fittings.
