Hand Forged T10 Steel Katana with Genuine Midare Hamon, Gold Musashi Tsuba and Black Piano Finish Saya

This hand forged T10 steel katana combines traditional Japanese sword construction with carefully selected decorative fittings. The blade features a genuine Midare Hamon created through clay tempering and oil quenching, giving the sword a distinctive temper line and traditional appearance.

The blade is made in the Shinogi-Zukuri style and features a Bo-Hi groove, a clearly defined Yokote, and a Chu-Kissaki blade tip. The edge is supplied very sharp, while an unsharpened edge can also be requested.

The blade is hand polished using Hazuya polishing. This katana has a full tang construction and is secured with two bamboo mekugi as part of its traditional assembly.

Traditional Katana Handle and Fittings

The tsuka is constructed with a hard wood core and covered with genuine black rayskin. It is wrapped with light brown synthetic silk ito in the traditional Hineri-Maki style, creating a distinctive contrast between the black samegawa and the light brown handle wrapping.

The sword is fitted with a gold-colored alloy Musashi tsuba. The fuchi and kashira feature matching gold rock-pattern fittings, while the menuki feature a silver feather-pattern design. A brass habaki and brass seppa complete the sword's mounting.

Black Piano Finish Saya

This T10 steel katana comes with a piano black finish saya. The clean black scabbard complements the gold-colored fittings and light brown tsuka-ito, giving the sword a classic and balanced appearance. A brown sageo is included with the saya.

Hand Forged and Traditionally Assembled

Each sword is hand forged, hand polished, and hand assembled. This katana combines a T10 steel blade with traditional Japanese sword construction and carefully selected decorative fittings.

The sword does not include a standard mei inscription, but an inscription can be added to the tang free of charge upon request. Free engravings can also be added to the blade or tang.
