Hand Forged T10 Katana with Genuine Choji Hamon and Plum Blossom Fittings
This hand forged T10 steel katana combines a traditional Shinogi-Zukuri blade with a genuine Choji Hamon, O-Kissaki, and carefully finished Hazuya polishing. The sword features a full tang construction, forest green Hineri-Maki handle, antiqued genuine rayskin, and an elegant plum blossom themed set of fittings.
The dark antique fittings are complemented by a high-gloss mottled red and black lacquered Saya with a Wakasa-style marbled appearance. Gold and silver plum blossom details on the Tsuba and handle fittings create a distinctive traditional Japanese aesthetic, making this katana suitable for collectors, martial arts practitioners, cutting practitioners, display, decoration, and general sword enthusiasts.
T10 Steel Blade with Genuine Choji Hamon
The blade is forged from T10 steel in the Shinogi-Zukuri style. It features a defined Yokote and an O-Kissaki, while the blade is made without a Bo-Hi for a clean, solid profile.
The genuine Choji Hamon is produced through clay tempering and oil quenching. Hazuya polishing is applied to the blade to bring out the visual character of the Hamon and the polished steel surface.
Cutting Edge: The standard blade is very sharp. An unsharp version can be requested as a customization.
Forest Green Hineri-Maki Handle
The 27 cm handle is wrapped with premium forest green material in the traditional Hineri-Maki style. Beneath the wrapping is antiqued genuine rayskin and a hard wood handle core, providing a traditional construction.
Two bamboo Mekugi secure the handle assembly. Silver ornamental Menuki are positioned beneath the cord wrap, adding a subtle decorative contrast to the deep forest green handle.
Antique Plum Blossom Fittings
The fittings feature a coordinated plum blossom theme. The antique dark iron Mokkō-shaped Tsuba is carved with a plum blossom branch and decorated with gold and silver accents.

Wakasa-Style Red and Black Lacquered Saya
The 76 cm wooden Saya features a high-gloss mottled red and black lacquer finish inspired by a Wakasa-style marbled effect. The contrasting lacquer pattern gives the scabbard a distinctive appearance while complementing the antique dark fittings.
The Saya is fitted with horn Koiguchi, Kojiri, and Kurikata. A multi-color braided Sageo in yellow, red, and purple is tied in a traditional decorative knot to complete the scabbard.
Traditional Hand-Made Construction
This katana is hand forged, hand polished, and hand assembled using a traditional hand-made sword production process. It features a full tang, hard wood Tsuka core, antiqued genuine rayskin, two bamboo Mekugi, and copper Habaki and Seppa.
The Tang comes without a Mei by default. Engraving can be added to the blade or Tang free of charge upon buyer request.
