Experience the swift elegance of the legendary swallow with the Tsubame Katana (Model HB614) from HanBon Forge. Crafted from T10 high carbon steel and treated with traditional clay tempering, this katana features a mesmerizing full Hitatsura hamon, showcasing a unique and intense pattern that runs across the entire blade surface. Designed for those who appreciate authentic aesthetics, refined craftsmanship, and functional performance.
Premium Blade Construction
Forged from T10 high carbon steel, known for its excellent hardness and impact resistance, this katana blade achieves a razor-sharp edge while maintaining resilience and durability. The clay tempering process creates a visible Hitatsura (“full flame”) hamon—a sweeping temper line that spans the entire blade, lending dramatic visual appeal and enhancing the blade’s cutting precision.
Symbolic Design: 'Tsubame' and Swiftness
Named after the swift and graceful swallow—a symbol of agility and freedom in Japanese culture—the Tsubame Katana embodies speed, fluidity, and elegant martial artistry. Whether performing kata, martial displays, or tameshigiri, this sword offers balanced motion and performance.
Authentic Fittings & Finish
The katana is paired with traditional fittings, including a hardwood lacquered saya (scabbard) with complementary cordage and a classic tsuka wrap for a secure grip. Each component echoes the serene beauty and functional integrity of traditional Japanese sword design.
