T10 Steel Blade with Shinogi-Zukuri Geometry
The blade is made from T10 steel and features a traditional Shinogi-Zukuri profile. It has no Bo-Hi and includes a defined Yokote and a Chu-Kissaki. The blade is clay tempered and oil quenched, with Hazuya polishing for its finished surface.
The cutting edge is very sharp by default. An unsharp version can be requested as a customization option.
Genuine Notare Hamon
This katana features a genuine Notare Hamon created through the clay-tempering process. The gently undulating hamon pattern adds visual character to the blade and complements its traditional Japanese profile.
The blade is oil quenched and finished with Hazuya polishing.
Black Hineri-Maki Handle with Antiqued Rayskin
The handle features black synthetic silk ito arranged in the traditional Hineri-Maki wrapping style. Antiqued genuine rayskin is used beneath the wrapping, while the handle core is made from hard wood.
Two bamboo mekugi secure the handle assembly. Gold dragon-themed brass fittings complete the handle's decorative design.
Gold Dragon Fittings
The katana is fitted with brass components featuring a gold dragon design. The matching dragon-themed fittings include the tsuba, kashira, fuchi, and menuki, creating a coordinated decorative appearance.
The habaki and seppa are made from copper, providing a contrasting detail within the sword's overall fittings.
Piano Black Saya
The sword is paired with a piano black finished saya and a black sageo. The dark scabbard complements the black handle wrapping and gold dragon fittings.
