Handmade Samurai Katana Sword – Wolf & Moon Theme with T10 Steel Clay Tempered Blade
Traditional Japanese Swordsmithing with T10 Clay Tempered Steel
This handmade samurai katana is crafted from premium T10 high carbon steel, known for its hardness, cutting ability, and durability. Through the clay tempering process, the blade develops a stunning choji hamon (clove-shaped temper line), representing the perfect balance of strength and flexibility.
The blade is further enhanced with hazuya polishing, a traditional Japanese technique that brings out the hamon’s beauty and produces a refined, mirror-like surface. Each blade is hand sharpened to ensure functional performance, making it suitable for cutting practice as well as display.

Handle & Tsuka-Maki Wrapping
The tsuka (handle) is wrapped in wine-red genuine Japanese silk ito, tied in the hineri-maki style with hishigami wedges, ensuring a firm grip and traditional appearance. Beneath the wrapping lies authentic antique-finished rayskin (samegawa), offering durability and elegance.
The handle construction includes two bamboo mekugi pins, making the katana reliable and true to traditional Japanese methods.
Wolf & Moon Themed Brass Fittings
The fittings of this katana are inspired by the wolf and moon, symbolizing strength, loyalty, and nature’s untamed spirit:
Tsuba (Handguard): Brass, featuring a wolf head on one side and a howling wolf facing the moon on the other.
Fuchi & Kashira (Collar & Pommel): Brass fittings decorated with wolf and moon motifs.
Menuki (Ornaments): Silver-colored running wolves, adding both grip and artistic detail.
Habaki & Seppa: Solid copper construction for durability and precise blade fit.
Saya (Scabbard) Design
This katana comes with a custom saya (scabbard) wrapped in red rayskin (samegawa) at the upper section, transitioning into a glossy black lacquer finish at the lower part. The sageo cord is black with red dots, harmonizing with the wine-red tsuka-ito and wolf fittings.
