KATANA BLADE: The blade has been constructed from T10 High Carbon steel in a Maru style. In accordance with Japanese tradition, the blade has been treated with a clay covering, applied to the entire sword except the cutting edge. The beautiful real hamon on the blade is also result of the differential cooling of the blade (quenching and tempering). It has been hand polished with multiple grade sharpen stone by Japanese method, which made the surface of the blade like a mirror.
KATANA HANDLE: The handle core is made of hard wood, The ito features alternating crossovers in a hinerimaki style which made the handle tighter and durable. The Raykin(samegawa) are Genuine. The tsuba, Fuchi and Koshira are made of iron. The full tang is secured by two bamboo Mekugi.
KATANA SHEATH: The saya of the sword is hard wooden with a gloss finish. The sageo is synthetic silk tied over a wooden kurigata with golden shitedome. The kurikata(knot) is placed the proper distance from the koiguchi to allow the user to easily release the sword from the saya.
